The pages are yellow, not white. The paper is so thin that you can see the next page right through it, making it very hard to read the clues. The font size varies depending on the size of the puzzle, some of them being beyond tiny.

This appears to be from recent NYT puzzles. I've only done a few of the puzzles but one clue was "our 48th vice president," who is Mike Pence, so the puzzles seem not to be dated.

1. The paper is cheap and spongy, so I can't use ink because it goes through to the other side.2. Because paper is smaller than these books used to have, the type face is also smaller-- in fact, hard to read. Numbers blur, so sixes look like eights, etc.Thus, I am so ucomfortable working with the puzzles that I am about to throw out the book.I am horrified that the publisher released such a shoddy piece of work.Janet Fulmer

The puzzles are great. I would have preferred a different format-larger grid on one page, clues on the facing page. When I ordered the puzzles, I was unaware that the grid and clues were on the same page.

I bought this as a gift, and the person had to return it. Print was so small it was unreadable - but that was also because it was obviously a print-on-demand, on cheap rag paper with loads of bleed through. After she tried three or four clues, and could see them through to the other side of the page, she returned it.

The print is very small which makes it uncomfortable to read and the small grid makes it a little more difficult to correct errors neatly. There is a fair amount of space on the pages that could have been used to raise the font one or two sizes without having to make the pages larger. This is the standard size book that I have always purchased for NYT crosswords but the first time that I have come across such small font.

Fortunately we're old because so are these puzzles which go back to 1945. Although the cover says "edited by Will Shortz", this only applies to half the puzzles. The rat pre-date him and in the introduction he remarks on their unreasonable obscurities. The difficulty level of the 50 Shortz puzzles is just right for our team and we quickly turned to the back and are doing the Shortz puzzles first. Looks like the first half of the book will be a waste. If you've been lusting to come up with answers like oobits, deha, cham, rhabdi, alure, emyde, atees and urds, you'll love it.

We've tried all of the newspaper collections, (L.A. Times, Chronicle, Tribune, Post), and the NYT Sunday collections still come out on top. The print is a bit small and the paper isn't the highest quality, but that's a small price to pay for quality puzzles.

I reviewed book 4 as three stars as I thought the series could have been shorter and tighter. The finale deserves 5, even if for just the last 200 pages including the epilogue. So many series end with a final battle with little said about the future. Kudos to David Estes who created characters the reader gets so vested in that the final epilogue is so appreciated. For the series I would give 4 to 4.5 stars overall. Hope to see more in the future.

I have just finished the series and I can only say WOW. Truly enjoyable. I didn't write any comments after the first book as I bought the next 4 that night. I have been so engrossed that when I finished one I immediately started the next. Thank you for a great series and I am still thinking of all the sequel possibilities. Absolutely loved the characters and Siri and Gwen are a must in the next series. I wish you good luck and much success.

This series is a nice, long, epic saga. The characters are fully developed. And the author actually ties everything up in the fifth book, which I appreciate very much. The book includes MANY characters and the author does a nice job of allowing sufficient time to allow the reader to come to know each character. The settings are nicely detailed without being boring.

I was caught by the first book. Didn't do much else but read until it's was over. Captivating and I was it's prisoner. I highlighted more in this set of books than anything I have read in the past and most of the time all I do is read. A pleasure of retirement. Read this work of art, you won't be disappointed. Many thanks!

I am so glad that all five books in this series were already completed when I discovered them. I was able to read one after another as fast as possible. I would REALLY have hated to have to wait for this author to finish each one. The plot and characters are excellent, exciting, believable and fit together beautifully. The synopsis of the previous book at the start of the next would make it easy for anyone dumb enough to start this series anywhere but the beginning. Dumb, because anyone who did that would be missing so much.

It was okay. Kept me engaged for a day or two, and I'll admit I bought the whole series. That said, I'm a sucker for fantasy in general and I write in my off time. I like to see what other people are doing and I'm always taking notes. I felt that the author's take on his characters abilities was kind of neat. I enjoyed the action scenes as well. However, the plot was a bit of a yawn. It was predictable, thanks to the foreshadowing found on every other page. Characters routinely do 180 degree emotional pivots away from their own characterizations, which becomes extremely annoying when you're dealing with a villain. Read it if you've got enough spare time, but there are better series out there that are highly similar. Age of Asango comes to mind.

This was a great series and a pleasant surprise. I very much enjoyed the whole thing. I thought the shorts at the end of each book was a clever way to get some backstory as it applied to each upcoming book in the series. There’s a bunch of stuff to say. I won’t. Just read it.

What a terrific book and series. I hated to see it end. Both my wife and I were totally captivated by each book in the series. I stayed up many nights long past my normal bedtime reading .... just so hard to put down. The story line, character development and all the twists and turns made for a fabulous read. Highly recommended series!

I bought both start your own and run your own corporation. Both good books. My only complaint is the lack of even one condensed list of specific corporate formalities. Such as #1, file articles with state, #2, write bylaws, etc.

Contains a ton of great nuggets and provides enough of the differences and pros and cons of each type of entity used for protecting personal assets and limiting personal liability. Unless you are a legal entity expert, chances are high this book will prove to be a tremendous asset.

Started my own company after reading this book. I still hired an attorney. I can understand what he says and he feels that I did my homework.

This book gives many great real life scenarios of corporation formations. Which includes The Good The Bad and The Ugly. My one very small wish was that it wasn't so Nevada Corp. formation one sided. The book goes over why it prefers Nevada over other States like Delaware but just wish it had more in-depth with other popular states also. Really enjoy the series an authors.

I liked this book. (or recording, in this case) I especially appreciated a side by side comparison of C corps, S corps, and LLCs, which I couldn't find anywhere else! For that, I thank Garrett Sutton for providing in this book. Nearly half of the book was about assett protection through corporations, which was a bit annoying to me personally, because I'm trying to start a business and I have no assetts yet! But good information nonetheless.

I have a billion cookbooks. Cookbooks can be frustrating. You have to match the cookbook to your style. I don't need to read about the author's relationships and how they relate to her cooking. I don't have any desire to prepare a perfectly good piece of fish with some sort of beurre blanc and a plum reduction with asparagus and truffles. But I realize plenty of people do. And I can see how some people might look at this book and say, "An entire book of nothing but recipes for a 9 x 13 baking pan? Are you serious?"This book has page after page of... recipes, and virtually no talk outside of the ingredients and the preparation instructions. From my relatively limited experience, the recipes work. The recipes work quite well. A couple of these recipes and my kids acted like I've never made anything good until now. LOL. Sometimes I can go through an entire cookbook and not find one winner.The first thing I did is look at the list of recipes and Orange Chicken stuck out. I thought to myself, "There's a billion recipes in this book. There's no way the author tested all of these; it'd take ten years. Let's get this over with: Citrus and chicken. There's a 1% chance that'll work. I'll give it a shot." What happened? Everybody loved it. Then I tried some other dish. No leftovers. LOL. Good enough for me. And tons of good down-to-earth ideas in those pages.

This one inch thick- paperback, 400+ pages is the most boring/bland cookbook I ever ordered, and I own 1000+-----page after page of ingredients with recipe method on each individual recipe page------GROAN- NOT ONE SINGLE PHOTO OF A FINISHED DISH . Nothing to see here folks---It is simply a boring repository of maybe some good recipes. but it is such an unwelcoming read- I gave it to my Salvation Army Retail Store.

The table of contents has no order, and neither does the book. There are no groups, no pictures, just random recipes. This person figured out how to publish 100 cookbooks. The best chefs in the world do not have as many, yet somehow she thinks she is just that good. I wish I could return this.

She writes the best books. I have bought most of them and find that this one has topped the list!!

Yes, I like physical, hold in your hands, maps even if I also use a GPS. I wanted a 1:200000 map for our trip to Umbria, and this one does the job.It covers Umbria, Le Marche and a touch of Toscany. It folds easy enough into place and has enough detail for our general, local travel. It folds out pretty big- it'll be hard to use while driving unless you have a "navigator" in the seat next to you. Or you can fold it enough to leave open the section you're driving in. I like to review and go over the map, making notes, before the day's trip.One needs a magnifying lens for the really small details, e.g., teeny tiny towns, church markings. The main roads are easy enough to see.They provide little, sticky arrows to point out places of interest, e.g. the kids want to go to Citta della domenica(amusement park) which is included on the map along with other places of interest; however, with use, the arrows fall off. Circle it or make a note. Buon Viaggio!

Footnotes for the not so well known details from corporate archives and such would have been tremendously helpful to researchers and historians.An on line version is available.
